help
Bluntly and honestly, we need your money.
The project can’t happen without your donation, and it’s so important on many different levels that it happens. Please please help us do something radical. All it takes is clicking on this site and donating.
What it’s all about: this opportunity is really incredibly amazing. For Ukrainians living with disabilities, there are not many options or opportunities…and even things as ‘simple’ as dyslexia is not known by most Ukrainians – there’s actually not a word for it. So, the fact that this project was something initiated by my director, is so much more important and valuable, than just doing a project in Ukraine. It’s about remodeling the dorm to make it wheelchair accessible, and then about conducting inclusion training for teachers and students. And the greatest part to the project? Students will live together regardless of their mobility restraints!
I’m been fumbling and contemplating. There’s such a disconnect in the ability to express what is happening and what could be- to express it in a way that gets deeply felt and understood. I can describe what is here, but it’s so much different than feeling what it’s like being here. My generation has grown up in the ADA era, but there are places like Ukraine that haven’t grown up with ramps or opportunities….you can help make a new era here, by donating…
I know the holidays just ended, and money is tight, but this project is so drastically important, that I hope you can donate – even if it’s something like $5, that’s a step closer to our goal.
It’s important that we are fully funded by the end of the month, which means, I need you to act really quickly, spread the word to your friends and family, maybe stand on a corner (not really), but really, deeply and honestly, let’s get the project off the website and into reality already…please?
thanks, iea
